I love getting myself into situations where I'm giving myself multiple ways to win and no way to lose.
For example, the gym. Books. YouTube...all these things come with multiple benefits, and the only thing you need to trade for them is effort and time.
Of course, you know how I feel about the value of time! But the point stands: give yourself multiple pathways to victory + success!
When it comes to the gym (or really, any physical activity), working out not only makes you look better and feel better. It'll also give you more confidence, make you more attractive (to certain people), help you LIVE LONGER...just on and on.
Books, I don't really have to explain that one haha. But with YouTube, when you start a channel and start posting videos, you're learning all these different skills: storytelling, marketing, advertising, video editing, speaking, communications, etc.
Again, so many benefits.
I have one more high(er)-leverage play for you, and that's cross-posting to Medium.
This'll work better or worse depending on who you are, what kind of content you create, whether you're more of a writer or not, etc. But in the screenshot below, you can see that I made $150+ EXTRA, just from repurposing my newsletter content into a Medium article.
All told, it probably took me 20 minutes or so to copy and paste my newsletter into those three Medium articles, go in and change the formatting a bit, etc. And I made $150!
Basically $50 an hour! Crazy.
Again, if you're starting from zero on Medium (I have 3,000+ followers there), you may not make as much, or maybe it'll take you longer to repurpose as a Medium article, etc.
But if you can, it might be something you want to check out! For me, it was worth it!

All-hands at 10am. Everyone already knows the numbers. The meeting is about decisions, not catch-up.

Today was a DAY. I mean it was great and everything, but with the tech issues getting my last YouTube video out, the painters here all day finishing up my studio, etc. Plus more that I won’t complain to you about it! I’ll be glad to get into bed.
Proud of myself for pushing through though. I’m sure you’ve felt the same way. When nothing was going right, everything seems to be crashing at once, and yet you just…refuse to stop. You know that if you just give a little more, you can win. That was today for me! I wish you many more days like that in your future too. Character building!
