Your Best is FAR Better Than You Realize

📚 Hey, good morning! Time to win.
As a kid, before all my baseball games (and later, before my heavyweight boxing fights), my dad always used to tell me just one thing:
"Do your best and have fun."
Now, I've always known that he was a smart man.
But what he said is actually quite profound:
He knew - on some level at least - that if you give your absolute BEST to something, it is virtually impossible fail.
Whenever I fail at something (which I still do, all the time), I don't blame anyone else, I don't point fingers, I don't do any of that loser shit.
I simply ask myself whether I'm SURE that I actually did my best.
And usually?
No. No I didn't.
I didn't give my ALL, which is why I lost.
Now, obviously, I said "virtually impossible" - I'll admit that it is technically possible to do every single thing you possibly could and still come up short.
But I doubt that you and I are doing our best at all times and in all situations.
I DOUBT that we really "leave it all on the field" on a daily basis.
I DOUBT that we really wanted it as bad as we said we did.
Because if we wanted it... If we REALLY...WANTED IT, we would have it.
That's the way the universe works. At least that's been my experience thus far in my 33 years on this planet.
Every time I've given my absolute BEST to something, I've won.
And every time I held back at all, I didn't.
You have an extra gear too.
You've been too easygoing about your success.
It's time to UPSHIFT and take everything you've ever wanted.
I believe in you. I'm with you. Let's f*cking do it!
As always, at the bottom of this email I’ll lay out everything I did today to move closer to my Ultimate Vision. This is to keep me accountable and to show you that I’m working as hard as I’m encouraging you to work…

I’m up wayyyy later than I intended (which will come as a shock to exactly NONE of you haha), so I’ll keep this very, very short.
Today was great, I moved several important projects forward and had a fantastic workout. I almost cracked 100 pages read too, which hasn’t happened in a shamefully long time.
But that’s it for today.
Until next time…happy reading!
All the best,
Matt Karamazov
