Don’t get SaaD. Get Rippling.

Remember when software made business simpler?

Today, the average company runs 100+ apps—each with its own logins, data, and headaches. HR can’t find employee info. IT fights security blind spots. Finance reconciles numbers instead of planning growth.

Our State of Software Sprawl report reveals the true cost of “Software as a Disservice” (SaaD)—and how much time, money, and sanity it’s draining from your teams.

The future of work is unified. Don’t get SaaD. Get Rippling.

“Sometimes we spend so much time trying to find how to win at life that we miss the entire point. Maybe you need to look for why to win in life. Did somebody humiliate you? Did somebody manipulate you? Is there a teacher or family member who made you feel ashamed? We’re all driven in different ways, but the right enemy can drive you in ways an ally never can.”

-Patrick Bet-David, Choose Your Enemies Wisely

I’ve selected this month’s Book of the Month inside Creator Launch Academy, and for the month of December it is Choose Your Enemies Wisely, by Patrick Bet-David.

Usually, I don’t recommend getting emotional in business.

You have to calmly line up your shots, strike with precision, and keep executing at a high level, over and over and over again until you win.

But when you combine tactics and strategy with the FIRE of intelligently-directed emotion (yes, possibly backed by anger and visions of retribution), that’s when fireworks can happen. That’s when the magic starts happening, and business gets FUN.

I’ll have lots more to say about this book over the next four weeks (and I mean, I’ve got NINE PAGES of notes), but I just wanted to introduce you to the book tonight.

Just remember: the right enemy can drive you in ways that an ally never can.

If you want my personal help to add between $1-5K/month in monthly recurring revenue to your creator business, and grow your audience and authority exponentially at the same time, Creator Launch Academy is exactly where you need to be. Join here.

After achieving my (somewhat meaningless) goal of reading 1,000 books before I turned 30, I set a new (also meaningless but cool) goal of reading 10,000 books. As of today, I’ve read exactly 1,433 books, including 81 books so far this year, and if you’re interested, here’s my full Reading List.

What do Tom Brady, Alex Hormozi, and Jay Shetty all have in common?

They have a newsletter (like the one you’re reading) because:

  • Social posts reach 10% of your audience while 40-50% of emails get opened

  • You only have to write 2-4x per month to book calls and launch products

  • Creators and founders are getting a 35:1 return selling with email

We’re hosting a free workshop on December 10th to help you launch a newsletter that immediately begins generating revenue.

You’ll learn how to select a niche, grow your list, and convert readers into customers.

I got a lot done today, and I’m ahead of schedule on funding my Lambo (I might even be able to pay for it JUST with sponsorships, come April). But I still need to make some fundamental changes to my approach if I want to get everything done.

Batch-creating my content is going to be sooo critical to my success these next few months (and really for my entire career haha) and I’ve been less intentional about it than I should be. So that's a priority for tomorrow.

Another thing I’m working on is allowing myself to feel like I’ve accomplished something haha. It used to be that no matter how much I got it done, it never felt like enough. Work in progress on that front - but we persist! Talk soon.

All the best,

Matt Karamazov
