Your Content Needs to Pull Double Duty

📚 Hey, good morning! Time to win.

I’ve got several wins to share, but one of them I don’t want to talk about until the money hits my account.

Should be today or tomorrow though.

These are small wins, but I believe in celebrating EVERY win, no matter the size.

Because what happens is that you then get into the HABIT of winning, and then they just keep coming.

Then I want to talk to you BRIEFLY about batching, and why you should make your content do double duty.

So, the wins:

*Got one of my articles published in one of the bigger publications on Medium (and it’s earning me money every day)

*Had 2 new people become my supporters on Patreon this week

*Landed a consult with a publisher (another one!) that wants to talk to me about providing marketing services to their entire roster of authors

*Then there were some other social media wins, audience growth etc. Won’t bore you with the details. Life’s good though.

None of these are Massive Wins, but damn it, they felt good, and when they stack on TOP of each other, CONSISTENTLY, week after week, that’s when you start building real momentum and becoming undeniable online.

Now, real quick…

Batching.

This is the process of taking all the different parts of your content and finishing them all at once before moving on to the next part.

For example, scripting everything, then recording everything, then uploading everything, then gathering b-roll and supporting materials for everything, then doing a rough draft of edits for everything, etc.

This is instead of scripting one thing. Then SWITCHING MINDSETS, recording one thing, SWITCHING AGAIN, doing the next part, etc.

It’s all about efficiency.

Because multitasking doesn’t really exist - it’s just your brain going back and forth really fast between tasks, never really getting a grip on any of them.

Then, what you can also do is make your content do double duty.

For example, I recorded a masterclass for my private community on note-taking and how I read, remember more, etc.

Showing up live is how Members could ask questions, get feedback, strategize with me, etc. There’s a benefit to being there in person that you’d never get with just a recording.

But then, I put the main “teaching” part of the masterclass up on YouTube…

And it got 400+ views in a matter of days.

Gained me 8 subscribers so far…

25+ hours of watch time…

A whole bunch of great stuff. Just from REPURPOSING content. Making it perform double duty.

Solid day today! It was rainy and kinda dreary outside, so I just used today as a chance to get caught up on a ton of stuff. Felt great.

Still a TREMENDOUS amount left to do, but that’s not a problem. Just a CHALLENGE. There’s a major difference.
