The headline is a quote from Vince Lombardi, and I am LOVING the book I'm reading now, written by his son: What It Takes to Be #1

I have pages and pages of notes, including some INCREDIBLE stuff about discipline, teamwork, heart, and sacrifice for a worthy goal.

Lombardi's career as a coach with the Green Bay Packers was studded with victories, and a lot of what he did was SELF-IMAGE work with players, even if he never put it into exactly those terms.

His players had to SEE THEMSELVES as winners before they could ever win on the field.

They had to BE before they could DO.

This is something I've been thinking about a lot. The mind is just so insanely powerful, as I keep learning over and over again.

Even Lombardi once said:

"The good Lord gave you a body that can stand almost anything. It's your mind you have to convince."

See yourself as a winner. Someone who ROUTINELY scores victories. Someone who DESERVES to be where you are, who BELONGS there.

I’m finally going to do it! I’m getting to bed at a decent time! I’m actually doing it!

I mean, there’s still room for improvement. But I like how today turned out/was structured. Got plenty of reading done, some good work completed, had a great dinner with my mom (delayed Mother’s Day dinner), great workout…this is living!
