For Professional Creators, THIS is Even Better Than Perfect

📚 Hey, let’s talk about winning.

To win the creator game (however you define “winning”), perfect is NOT an absolute requirement. It’s actually a hindrance to your progress, and there’s something even better.

Perfectionism is killing your progress because by avoiding messy imperfection, you’re not iterating as fast as you could be, which means that you’re not learning as fast as you could be, either.

Increasing your failure rate is actually an excellent way to increase your learning rate.

For backup on this, I’m calling in fitness industry legend Mike Matthews:

Ironically enough, by focusing on consistency - putting in the reps - you bring yourself closer to perfection.

My first 50 YouTube videos were not even close to perfect. If I’m being completely honest, they were pretty damn terrible. I’ve deleted most of them!

And my next 100 YouTube videos won’t represent my best work either. At least not my full potential. They’re the best I’ll be able to do now, though, and that’s what matters. Same goes for you.

You’ll never get anywhere close to perfection by trying to make your FIRST creations perfect. You have to put in the reps.

It’s the consistency that brings you closer to perfection, although it’s true that you’ll likely never make it. But the good news is that your audience isn’t asking you for perfection. They want real, and they want authenticity and connection.

The creator game rewards effort and the relentless pursuit of perfection, but you don’t ever have to reach perfection in order to win.

Your followers, clients, and supporters want to see you putting in work. They want you to care about their experience, their results, and the value you place on their time. That’s it.

Keep showing up. Keep improving. Keep winning. WAGMI.
