Get This Wrong and You May as Well Just Shutter Your Business
YOUTUBE đź“š THE READING LIFE đź“š PATREON
đź“š Hey, good morning! Time to win.
There’s no greater waste of time in business than trying to generate demand for your product or service.
The demand already EXISTS within the marketplace, and it’s YOU who have to conform to the demands of the MARKET.
In other words?
You have to sell what people are already buying, or else you may as well just shutter your business right now.
In my latest podcast episode I speak more about what’s called product/market fit, and why it’s so critical that you achieve it, but it’s pretty basic:
The market reflects the existing desires of consumers, and it’s a BIG market out there. If NOBODY is selling what you’re selling, then maybe it’s just something that nobody wants!
A quick example from my own life will show you what I mean:
I never used to make any money as a coach back when I helped people “read more books.”
It was only after I started coaching people individually on time management that I started to generate a decent income.
Because sure, plenty of people are interested in learning how to read more books, but they’re VERY unlikely to hire a coach SPECIFICALLY for that purpose, much less pay that coach the kind of fees that would make it worth it for me.
But time management? Oh man, that’s a gold mine!
Damn-near EVERYBODY wants to save time.
There are tons of similar examples - people building these SUPER-niche products that virtually NOBODY is looking to buy.
If they would only look around and see what people are ALREADY spending money on, and provide THAT, they’d be a lot better off.
I also offer up 4 great book recommendations in the podcast, too, if you’re interested.

Chest day planned day…didn’t make it. I know, I know. Not a great example I’m setting. At least I didn’t skip because I “didn’t feel like it,” or something stupid like that. I was putting the final touches on the podcast episode and noticed it was way too late to get to the gym. Still, no excuse.

I know, I know, it’s late, and I did it again. I stayed up way later than I intended, putting my morning tomorrow at risk. Stupid. But I think my day off yesterday gave me some extra power today :)
Still, I’m not about to slide back into my old pattern of staying up late doing subpar work, then sleeping in and missing my most productive hours of the day.
Not. Happening. I now know the difference in productivity between those two approaches and I OWE IT to the work I’m doing not to let my sleep get away from me.
Today was a great day though! And with that being said, it’s now 5:13AM here and I’m going to bed!
All the best,
Matt Karamazov
