There are actually many, many ways of stacking fast cash as a creator, but honestly?

I wouldn't rely on any of them.

They can be very fast and lucrative, and I’ll mention just a few of them in a second, but if you want to go full-time as a creator, be prepared to be in it for the long haul. 5+ years at least. Working nights, weekends, before work, while everyone else is out partying...

This can be the cost of "overnight success."

That doesn't mean the whole process has to be self-deprivation and pain. If you don't enjoy at least some aspect of what you're doing, the likelihood that you're going to stick with it is slim. Very slim. And you don't have to skip your brother's wedding, or miss your child's recital just to become a professional creator.

But there are sacrifices that must be made (I know because I've made them), and I wouldn't depend on hitting it big right out of the gate.

Knowing this, paradoxically makes it easier to stick out through the rough times.

Speaking for myself here, I NEVER, EVER, EVER believed that I WOULDN'T ultimately be successful. Not a single time. I ALWAYS knew I would make it, and so I never realistically entertained the option of quitting.

That being said, success can arrive relatively quickly in the creator game, and a lot can happen fast.

For example, I've had Instagram reels blow up and gained 20,000+ followers in a matter of weeks.

I've closed deals worth thousands of dollars in the DMs, after receiving a cold pitch from an author just hours previously.

Many, many, many times, hundreds of dollars have flown into my account from newsletter partnerships, having a big creator mention my work somewhere, etc. So it can happen.

But I never expected it to, or relied on it happening for me to stay in the game.

Nor should you.

You can definitely make a lot of money in a hurry (close friends of mine have closed clients for $10,000+ on sales calls, and a lot more). You can get a million views on a video and YouTube will send you $7,000. I mean damn, you just need 10 clients paying you $3,000/month to make serious money, and theoretically you could book 10 calls in a single day, close 100% of them for $3K each, and be off to the proverbial races.

But if you commit to giving your absolute best effort today, it'll happen eventually. And you'll be sooo glad you didn't quit.

Today was pretty damn good, all things considered! My Dad’s still in the hospital, unfortunately, and we’re not sure when he’s headed home (he’s been in there since May 5th), but I’ve been there every day, doing what I can, keeping him company, trying to get some work done.

Key word: “trying” haha. It’s not easy! I don’t get much done while I’m there, but I’m just happy that I’ve built a life where I can just spend whenever I want with my Dad when he needs me.

Anyway, didn’t mean to get depressing or anything there. Things are actually going pretty damn well in every other area of my life/business! I’ll leave this newsletter here though. Lots more to come, and remember, reply any time with questions and I’d be happy to help.
