This is a lesson that's been pounded into my brain for YEARS, and that I first learned from Brian Tracy. Some of his (and my) best success advice is simply this:

Make a consistent habit of doing MORE than that for which you are paid.

So simple, so straightforward...and yet how many people actually DO this? One percent? Less than that even?

Listen, you can PUT YOURSELF into this elite group - this one percent - and it doesn't take a whole lot of extra effort on your part.

It just takes initiative, the willingness to ask a few questions (that I outline in this video), and the desire to go out and do it. I believe you can.

The bar is so…low, my friend.

You wouldn’t believe how many lazy cold DMs I get each week, people just copy-and-pasting nonsense (sometimes not even getting my name right), the number of posts I see with glaring omissions or errors…it all just screams lack of effort.

Develop a reputation for doing more than that for which you are paid, though?

That’s when all sorts of people start taking notice. Opportunities will come to you out of seemingly nowhere, and the compound effect you kick off by doing that can be the difference between success and failure.

Alright, so December’s off to a strong start! I’m still a good distance behind my revised reading goal of 100 books, but I should JUST hit that number if I make a big enough effort.

On the business side, things are going great! Landed a few new author campaigns, been working closely with some inspiring, hard-working clients, and I’m finally getting around to updating some of this platform stuff - things like my website, social media profiles, etc.
