Investing in Yourself Always Generates Insane ROI

đź“š Hey, good morning! Time to win.

Today I made a somewhat significant investment in myself and in my own career as an online business owner.

It was a writing accelerator program called Write Your Way to $5K (I don’t get anything at all if you sign up through that link, I’m just sharing it so you can see what it is), and it cost me about $500 to join.

Not the most expensive course/program you could buy (that’s about what it costs for 3 hour-long calls with me, FYI), but it’s not nothing.

I had to think about it a little bit before I joined. I didn’t just have $500 in spare hundreds on my dresser or anything.

But it really wasn’t a hard decision, because it’s an investment in myself, and investments in yourself are some of the smartest ones you could possibly make.

The ROI on investing in yourself is positively INSANE.

Your education.

Your skills.

Your network.

Your physical fitness.

For basically any area of your life that you want to improve, you can make investments to help you move forward in that area, and one of the most important mindset shifts you can make is that you’re worth the investment.

You matter enough to be able to invest in yourself and have it actually mean something.

And if you do the work that is required, that investment is going to pay off.

Maybe not today (although it could), but it will, and you just have to keep planting those seeds.

One of the things that I do find sad is that many people don’t think that they’re worthy of that investment in the first place. They either don’t think they can improve or that they “deserve” it.

Nonsense.

I’m here to tell you that if you do your absolute best in this life, if you hold nothing back and do everything within your power to improve, then yeah, you absolutely do deserve it.

And I can tell you this too: It’s usually the people who are willing to invest in themselves over the long term who actually win.

But that’s it for today.

As always, at the bottom of this email I’ll lay out everything I did today to move closer to my Ultimate Vision. This is to keep me accountable and to show you that I’m working as hard as I’m encouraging you to work…

I credit the majority of my success and happiness in life to my consistent, unbreakable habit of reading and applying great books.

To help you gain wisdom and strength from the greatest books that have stood the test of time (and use the knowledge contained therein to shape your life according to the way you want to live it), I created the Stairway to Wisdom, my library of expert book breakdowns.

When you become a member of the Stairway to Wisdom, you’ll gain access to more than 120+ such book breakdowns, as well as a premium weekly newsletter that some readers have described as “philosophical espresso shots for the soul.”

Whenever I publish a new breakdown, I always make it free for a couple of weeks, just so people can check it out and see if it’s something they want to begin receiving in their inbox regularly.

Here’s the latest book breakdown inside the Stairway to Wisdom, with links to become a member if that’s something you feel would benefit you:

There’s a lot more I could say her: business planning I did today, directions I’m thinking about, some studying I did (I watched a few YouTube videos on how to create more enticing thumbnails), but I’ll wrap this up.

Tomorrow is an early day, I’ve got a few phone calls, some work to get ahead on, emails to return, etc. But it’s going to be a productive day!

Until next time…happy reading!

All the best,
