📚 Hey, good morning! Time to win.

I’m back on my daily YouTube upload schedule. New video is up, and it’s about the difference between books and movies inside the brain.

It’s a bit early to tell, but it’s doing okay analytics-wise! The click-through rate is looking good, and it’s at a 2/10 ranking for my channel in terms of views.

Plus, I mean damn, what do you think of this thumbnail?? I like it!!

Anyway, video is right here if you’re interested. But let’s talk about August.

We both have work to do, but we’re exactly where we need to be. I watched a keynote the other day and the presenter noted that the creator economy is set to DOUBLE in the next 3-5 years.

Think about that.

He’s basically talking about the entire time YouTube has been around (since the mid-2000s), until now…THAT is doubling over the next 3-5 years.

We’re still early. The opportunity is RIGHT in front of us. And now’s the time to capitalize. It’s NOT the time to slow down, second-guess ourselves, or worst of all: give up.

Can you even imagine doing that? Giving up? I can’t.

There’s literally not even a shadow of doubt in my mind that I’m going to take everything I want in this life (what I’m willing to work for) and as your friend and supporter, I’d humbly suggest that you eradicate ALL thoughts of weakness and self-doubt from your consciousness.

Shut it down.

Monthly Review:

For one thing, July lasted like…4 days for me. That’s what it seemed like. My revenue stayed about the same, which isn’t bad - still around the $5K mark, from author marketing, private coaching, various writing projects, etc. The major push right now is to get monetized on YouTube. That’ll open the FLOODGATES on revenue.

Of course there’s plenty I didn’t get accomplished, but it’s the REVENUE that’s really important, not updating social media pages and redoing my website. That’s important, yes, and I’m going to keep them as goals for August, but revenue comes first, and I’ll be driving hard on that over the next 31 days.

Lastly, my Facebook ads experiment is going REALLY well in that I’m adding hundreds of new subscribers each week. The partnership opportunities are rolling in too, which is amazing. Anyway, yeah, some left to be desired, but lots to look forward to next month.

Part of it was the YouTube video, getting back to some authors and newsletter partners, etc., but part of it is just me not taking sleep seriously.
