There’s a great YouTube video that I rewatch occasionally, and that I just sent to one of my personal coaching clients who wants to make waves on YouTube this year.

It’s called Make 100 Crappy YouTube Videos (Like MrBeast and PewDiePie Did), by one of my unofficial YouTube mentors, Roberto Blake.

There’s one thing I want you to notice. One thing especially.

Notice how AWFUL the first videos of some of these massive YouTubers were!

MKBHD’s first video was worse than MY first video, and my first video was PRETTY BAD.

Today he’s got, what, 17,000,000 subscribers or something like that? It’s wild.

Now why is that?

It might have something to do with the fact that he made hundreds of videos (most of them probably terrible) before he ever started gaining traction on that platform.

And yet we have people out here who published a few dozen videos and say that “YouTube is too saturated,” or some other ridiculous thing.

YouTube is NOT saturated.

YouTube is only saturated for AVERAGE content…for BAD content.

YouTube is STARVING for great videos, in virtually every niche, and it’s the perfect platform for educational content creators to build authority, grow a following, and monetize their creative work. YouTube has one of the best, most profitable partner programs in the entire creator economy.

That’s why I’M prioritizing YouTube this year too. Currently, I only have 91 long-form videos on my channel and so I haven’t even made MY first 100 crappy videos either! And I’m STILL at close to 1,800 subscribers!

The opportunity is out there for all of us. It’s just hidden behind your first 100 crappy YouTube videos, and it looks like work.

February’s off to a solid start, and I have the cash reserves available to make a big push this February too. Might start another paid ads campaign (probably on Twitter, because that’s where the underpriced attention is right now) and especially since Beehiiv is matching ALL revenue from Boosts this month.

I’m going to make batch-producing content more of a priority this month, and I even reduced my Medium target for this month too. For writing articles, I mean. It’s just not that strong a revenue driver for me, even though I ENJOY writing, and it does pay me SOMETHING. It’s just not the best use of my time right now, so I’m doing three articles per day instead of five (lol).

Tomorrow is all about recording some new content, and I’ll be finally publishing my Ali Abdaal breakdown this week too.

But hey, it’s 2:42AM here right now and I’m going to bed!
