Quick Growth Tip: It's sooo much faster to grow on Twitter/X by being a "reply guy" than it is trying to post multiple times a day and hoping that one of your posts takes off.

For example, take a look at the two photos below.

On the left, is my comment on Dan Go's post about "best purchases under $300." In typical "Matt" fashion, I suggested buying $300 worth of books, and then I added this photo of a recent stack I shared previously on Instagram. What happened?

Five thousand views, several new followers (~10 I believe?), and some sweeet, sweeet dopamine.

That was just in the first few hours, too. I checked recently (just now) and my comment now has FOURTEEN THOUSAND VIEWS.

Now, compare that to the reach I get on my own posts, which is...not 14,000 views, I can tell you that much! Not even close!

As you can see in the photo on the right, my post about the 1,380th book I've finished, Time Anxiety, got about 350 views. Which is fine, I don't get paid according to the number of views I get, but you can see the difference. It's MASSIVE.

So, while it's important to post content daily (or as often as possible, multiple times per day is better), just posting on your own timeline is NOT going to help you hit 10K followers all that quickly.

But replying underneath other large accounts in your niche (with THOUGHTFUL comments, not slop) is your fast lane to the finish line.

There's an art to this that I'll be getting into later, but for now, go find some big accounts in your niche and make sure you're leaving good comments regularly, the kind that gets you noticed and gets people motivated to check out your profile and potentially follow you.

This has been one of the greatest, most worrisome, most taxing, and most exhilarating months of my life, and it’s only going to get wilder from here.

I’m speaking not just in a business sense, but in terms of my personal life as well, seeing as my father’s in the hospital right now and I’ve been visiting him every single day. I’ve actually been there for most of the day, every day, for the last 8-9 days.

He’s going to be fine, but he’s also 87 years old, so…yeah it’s been a little tough. Definitely let down a few people this week/month, but things are moving right along.

Crazy how things can change though. And I mean, there are so many things to be grateful for! Business is picking up, I’m making more money than ever, opportunities are flying in left and right, but it’s funny how none of that really matters when the people you love need you!
