📚 Hey, good morning! Time to win.
No matter what else is going on in my life, I can always lift some heavy shit at the gym until I feel better about it all.
Without going into detail, last year…wasn’t exactly ideal.
It was challenging.
It wasn’t always clear how everything was going to play out, and I’m actually still dealing with some of the fallout.
I know, I know, I’m being vague.
But honestly it’s not super interesting and I don’t know how to write about it without complaining - or at least FEELING as though I’m complaining.
But none of that matters.
The gym was always there. And Arnold Schwarzenegger was always there.
And Tom Platz.
And Dorian Yates.
All those guys. I’d have YouTube videos like this one blasting in my ears at the gym - it’s a motivational video with 14,000,000 views and I’m responsible for at least 100 of them.
There’s just something about it. Bodybuilding, I mean. It solves everything. But not only that, it taught me how to GO THERE.
To push forward through whatever. To SUCCEED.
There’s a great line in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s latest book, Be Useful:
“Failure has never killed a dream; quitting kills every dream it touches.”
Oh man. The Austrian Oak is right.
Quitting is DEADLY to dreams, but you really do have to hold onto yours. No matter what. Don’t give it up, don’t quit, don’t hold BACK.
No.
Matter.
What.
You can get the rest of my notes from Be Useful right here, by the way - free.
You can just have them. I have 5 pages of notes in a Google Doc and I hope that you find some extra motivation and inspiration in there. Arnold’s book definitely helped me.
As always, at the bottom of this email I’ll lay out everything I did today to move closer to my Ultimate Vision. This is to keep me accountable and to show you that I’m working as hard as I’m encouraging you to work…

Alright, so I’m back from the St. Patrick’s Day festivities - I mentioned on Saturday that there wouldn’t be any daily email on Sunday, but now we’re back!
I definitely had a good time, and it was great seeing people I haven’t had a chance to hang out with for a long time, but I won’t be making a habit of staying out so late. It was about 3am before I got home - mostly sober, but still, it did kinda negatively impact me today in terms of work.
And work’s my PRIORITY right now, not socializing, so I won’t be going out again for a while. Going to dial in my focus for this week, get some shit done, and keep moving forward.
Until next time…happy reading!
All the best,
Matt Karamazov
