What Sundays Are For

đź“š Hey, good morning! Time to win.
I just want to start out by saying that I appreciate you reading The Competitive Advantage, and you must be getting something out of it, because I’ve been seeing VERY few people unsubscribe since I made the switch to daily emails.
Of course, I never take it personally when people do unsubscribe - because hey, sometimes our priorities/interests change, and that’s totally cool.
But I’ve come to really enjoy passing along what I can to help you win in whatever YOU’VE got going on, and staying accountable to you guys with these daily emails helps me out as well.
So I guess what I’ve been trying to say in these last three paragraphs is that I appreciate you.
Tonight is Sunday evening for me, and I want to help you win the week like I’m planning to.
And it is intentional, because winning rarely, if ever, happens by accident.
We prepare ahead of time to win, and Sundays are perfectly suited for that.
So for me, in my line of work, I use Sundays to outline my posts and videos for the week, fill in my calendar, gather everything I need, etc., so that when Monday hits, I can just hit the to-do list rolling.
My business started to become a lot more fun (and more profitable) when I started thinking further ahead and prepared myself to win by planning out as much as possible the weekend before, and reduced the uncertainty in the week ahead.
None of this is revolutionary.
Plenty of people do this.
Or rather, I should say that plenty of successful, fulfilled, and sane people do this, while those who are unsuccessful, unfulfilled, and well, insane…tend not to.
I’m just speaking from my own experience here: do whatever you can over the weekend to set yourself up to win on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
You will be sooo far ahead of the game it won’t even be funny, and all the hungover, disorganized people will be begging you to tell them your secret.
And then if you do decide to tell them your big “secret”, they’ll mostly just follow up with: “That’s it? That’s your secret?“
But that’s it for today.
As always, at the bottom of this email I’ll lay out everything I did today to move closer to my Ultimate Vision. This is to keep me accountable and to show you that I’m working as hard as I’m encouraging you to work…
I credit the majority of my success and happiness in life to my consistent, unbreakable habit of reading and applying great books.
To help you gain wisdom and strength from the greatest books that have stood the test of time (and use the knowledge contained therein to shape your life according to the way you want to live it), I created the Stairway to Wisdom, my library of expert book breakdowns.
When you become a member of the Stairway to Wisdom, you’ll gain access to more than 120+ such book breakdowns, as well as a premium weekly newsletter that some readers have described as “philosophical espresso shots for the soul.”
Whenever I publish a new breakdown, I always make it free for a couple of weeks, just so people can check it out and see if it’s something they want to begin receiving in their inbox regularly.
Here’s the latest book breakdown inside the Stairway to Wisdom, with links to become a member if that’s something you feel would benefit you:

Good, restful Sunday for the most part. Minus some snow shoveling - sooo much snow shoveling.
I feel very good about what’s coming this week and my capacity to meet it, so let’s get it done!
Tomorrow I’ve got plenty to edit and publish, as well as a professional development workshop to attend, and I’d better get some sleep.
So until next time…happy reading!
All the best,
Matt Karamazov
