Systems Over EVERYTHING

đź“š Hey, good morning! Time to win.

You have to be organized to win.

Prepared to win. Very few people win by accident.

Winning is always intentional.

I spent much of today cleaning up my entire workflow and backend systems to help me work even more efficiently and stop wasting time in silly, nonsensical ways.

As organized as I am, I still keep updating my systems, cleaning them out occasionally, and always striving for three things:

Simplicity!

Simplicity!!

Simplicity!!!

I’m always taking away tasks, eliminating steps, delegating work…

When I take a look at other people’s productivity systems - if they even have one - I’m usually somewhat shocked and horrified.

Several inboxes, no idea what’s coming and going where.

Multiple demands on their time and attention, but no PRIORITIES to determine which fire gets put out first.

I don’t usually get stressed out, but watching other people flail around in disorganization and panic stresses ME out.

There’s a better way.

And invariably, that better way is also a SIMPLER way.

See, I don’t have a bunch of different Notion templates or spreadsheets or time management apps and calendars. None of that shit.

I run my $5K per month creator business with Google Docs.

Seriously.

My workflow is organized by day and by platform, so I know exactly what I’m supposed to be working on, and it’s synced with my calendar so I know when it needs to be published.

I have a list…it’s literally just called my “Follow Up” list…where I empty all my extraneous thoughts about how to grow my business, projects I may want to pursue, books I want to look up later.

That Follow Up list gets cleared at the end of every workday.

My email inbox is another story, but that’s a priority for this month: getting it back down to zero and KEEPING it there.

My sanity can’t take it. When you have big goals and ambitions, you need a system that’s as simple as your vision is large.

Reorganized My Workflow and Saved My Sanity!

Lots to be proud of today. Got some big things coming together, and the rest of this year is looking GOOD.

I still have to remind myself often to look up at my long, long, LONG term goals (I’m talking 50-100 years in the future), since I often forget that I’ve got a lot of life left ahead of me. Sometimes you just get so caught up in today, you know?

I also had an ex-girlfriend message me on Instagram today. We’ve always been on excellent terms (my mom loves her haha) and it was nice reconnecting. We talked about meeting up later this summer, but no solid plans yet.

Pretty sure that’s the first time I’ve mentioned anything more personal than just business in these emails!

But that’s it for now.

Until next time…happy reading!

All the best,

Matt Karamazov
