I ended up with six pages of notes, but there’s a quote from someone else I found in the book that I want to draw your attention to here:

If you haven’t given up, you’re still on the road to getting it - man, I love that. Because he’s so right, there’s a difference between failing and not succeeding yet.

A lot of the business owners and content creators that come to me for advice think that they’re failing, but no, they’re really not. They’re on the way to getting it, but the way is long, and relatively few ever make it.

Most will quit and be forgotten. Fast.

But you…you can be one of the few. You can be one of the few who keeps going, who stays on the road to getting it.

It seems so much easier to quit and give up, but in the end, that’s actually the harder choice. Because there’s always going to be a part of you that knew you could have made it, but you gave up.

If you fail, you can analyze the possible reasons for it, draft some new plans, maybe even decide to channel your energy somewhere else. But that’s different than giving up. And as long as you don’t give up, you’ll never be a failure.
