How to Trick Your Brain Into Doing Hard Things

đź“š Hey, good morning! Time to win.

It’s only been about 2-3 days since I started working with my $20M business coach and already I am on FIRE with enthusiasm for the coming year.

For the next few DECADES, really.

And I mean that personally, but also in a wider, global sense.

I believe that the future is going to be wonderful for all of us, but not unless we make ourselves rich enough and free enough to really enjoy it.

Maybe that’s obvious, but I see plenty of people who don’t live as though that’s true. Don’t PREPARE as though that’s true.

But some people completely and totally “get it.”

Case in point: in my latest YouTube video, I share one priceless passage from a must-read business book that just came out:

Something I don’t mention in the video though is another incredibly potent tip for tackling big challenges, and it has to do with what I call "reference experiences.”

These are specific times in your life that you can look back on where you acted exactly the way you needed to, where you crushed it - and where you succeeded SPECTACULARLY.

You need to build up as many reference experiences as you can, because then, no matter what else you come up against in your life, you can think back to that time when you were DANGEROUS AF and you can bring that energy back into what you're attempting now.

Personally, some of my reference experiences include:

*Winning my last heavyweight boxing fight by unanimous decision

*Scrolling through the list of 1,250+ books that I’ve read in my life

*Conducting podcast interviews with world-famous authors

*Effortlessly shifting gears while driving my Porsche down the highway

And so many more. Really, I could list dozens and dozens, and looking back on them ALWAYS help me succeed in the present.

For yourself, you just look back and think:

“I’ve been here before. I’ve DONE THIS before…And I can do it again.”

Here’s the YouTube video again if you want to learn more about tricking your brain into doing hard things.

As always, at the bottom of this email I’ll lay out everything I did today to move closer to my Ultimate Vision. This is to keep me accountable and to show you that I’m working as hard as I’m encouraging you to work…

Okay, it’s official. I went flat-out, all day, and now I’m exhausted. I MAY have even set myself back for tomorrow, but I should get a tremendous amount done regardless.

Tomorrow I’ve got a bunch of author promo work to do (and some cold outreach), plus some scripting some new VSLs (video sales letters) for various landing pages. Some other platform-related stuff…

Yeah, so I should be getting to bed. Great day though.

Until next time…happy reading!

All the best,

Matt Karamazov
