📚 Hey, good morning! Time to win.

I rarely bookmark anything on Twitter (X).

There are probably fewer than 20 posts that I have bookmarked, and a post has to be insanely important to me for it to earn a place there.

My friend Sebastian Hidalgo’s post from earlier today made the cut:

A few things to say here:

First, not everyone has to become a killer (aka an ultra-competitive business professional), but you can’t just “dip your toe” into that world.

Not without getting eaten alive.

For any social media platform you want to compete on, there are people with massive budgets and full-fledged content teams designing 12 thumbnails for a single YouTube video and split-testing three of them.

They’ve got AI tools being used by their team of professional scriptwriters leading people into funnels designed by the aforementioned stone-cold killers who’ve all inhaled books by Dan Kennedy and Russell Brunson and who will stop at nothing to take the views that you want.

The same thing goes for basically any super competitive field.

Said the realtor who got f***ing thrashed in their local real estate market and let their fat commission fall into the hands of a real estate killer who was far hungrier and far more driven than them.

That being said…

I’ll never try and convince you to work all the time, and sacrifice everything fun and enjoyable just so you can chase someone else’s version of success.

I just want you to realize that there are ultra-serious competitors out there (see the name of this newsletter), and they’re not going to stop coming for what they want.

And if you have what they want?

And you’re not willing to fight for it?

Then good luck to you.

Because yea, just by being somewhat on top of things and not broke and desperately unhealthy, you are probably ahead of most people. But there’s a swarm of killers ahead of you and behind you - circling you.

But that’s it for today.
